Jakob Fisk

A childhood filled with art museum visits sparked my interest in finding the intersection between high art and low art. As an artist, I want to merge graffiti art with fine art. I like playing with the idea of altering a dull surface and replacing it with color and meaning. That’s why I use materials that can be found in urban environments, such as metal or glass. I’ve kept up with my tag name ‘Fisk’ since I was 10. Then, in a little town called Bjärred in Sweden, later in NYC, and now in San Francisco. As Jakob Fisk–my forever tag name, and now with my first name added–I bridge the gap between street culture and high culture.
